In the spring the plants re-grow all their leaves and flowers so that they can photosynthesize.

Summer

In the summer the plants begin to capture sunlight and convert the energy, some of that energy is used to grow while the rest is stored in their roots.

In the fall the trees lose their leaves to conserve their energy and to prevent infection from the wet leaves, most other plants also begin to decay and die.
